Day 1: Chisinau

Arrival to Chisinau, the capital of Moldova . Transfer to hotel and check in. In afternoon enjoy a panoramic walking tour across the city centre . On the tour you will discover Chisinau’s main attractions: their own Arc de Triumph, the 1841 Holy Gates at the center of the city and we will stroll through one of the city’s parks and learn about Prince Stefan, the noble symbol of Moldova’s medieval past. Stop at Russia’s national poet Alexander Pushkin tiny cottage, where he lived for 3 years during his exile. The interior is filled with original furnishings and personal items, including a portrait of his beloved Byron. Dinner and overnight in hotel .

Day 2: Full day tour Cricova & Old Orhei

In the morning , visit of Cricova Winery, situated at a depth of 50-80 meters, representing a real underground city. The Moldavian cellars where Vladmir Putin keeps his wine are so big you need to drive through them. You will also find Herman Goering’s private collection, taken by the Red Army from Berlin in 1945. Considered to be the pearl of Moldovan winemaking, Cricova is the founder of production of high-quality elite wines. The influence of Ancient Greece and the Roman period is reflected in the reliefs you will discover inside the winery. In this unique place you will have to opportunity to discover the steps to wine tasting and try a selection of the great range of wines. Optionally, you may choose to have an unforgettable lunch in this fantastic place. After lunch , visit continues with Old Orhei – a museum complex that presents the remnants of different civilizations established between Nistru and Prut rivers. This is a cave complex comprising caves, grottos, churches, and hermitages. The open air museum represents a true natural fortress, inhabited since ancient times. Before travelling back to Chisianu you’ll be taken to the monastery Curchi located in one of the most picturesque areas in the center of Moldova, in the neighborhood of the village Buzesti. It is placed on two terraces and is surrounded by a wall with corner towers. According to a legend, the monastery was founded in 1765 by Jordan Curchi, local inhabitant, who escaped from Tatar invasion. Day 3: Full day tour Capriana Monastery and Milestii Mici Winery

Today you will visit one of the oldest monasteries in Moldova (1429, located in a picturesque forest area, only 40km north – west of Chisinau. For a long period of time it was the headquarters of Moldova’s bishop. It was founded by the great Moldovan Ruler such as Stefan the Great. Later we’ll leave for the world known wine- cellars of Milestii Mici to see their rich wine collection and an underground wine gallery. The wines stored here are made of various years’ crops, beginning with the 1968 to 1991. The “Golden Collection” of Milestii Mici contains over two million bottles of harmonious wines dating from the period of Moldavian wine making prosperity “Pinot”, “Traminer”, “Muscat”, “Riesling”, “Feteasca”, “Codru”, “Negru de Purcari”, “Trandafirul Moldovei”, “Auriu” and others. The Mileştii Mici wine was repeatedly awarded. You will have a pleasant excursion in the cellars followed by wine tasting and lunch.  You will pass by car these 200 km of natural lime galleries. Drive back to Chisinau for dinner at hotel and overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Full day tour Causeni Medieval Church and Purcari Winery

After breakfast we leave for the south of Moldova. On the way to Purcari we make a stop in small town Causeni. This is where an ancient architectural monument of a particular artistic and historical value is situated – a church built during the Tatar-Mongolian period of stay in Moldova in 15th century. The inner walls of the church are fully covered with antique frescoes. It seems that the church is lost among the centuries. The fact that makes this church unique is its construction. The church is half-buried into the ground. The explanation of the fact is a legend that dates from the times when the Tatars were living on the territory. It is said that the Tatars admitted the construction of a Christian church with the condition that it will be the height of a man riding a horse. Next we drive to the village Purcari with its famous estate and winery Purcari –the oldest wine- estate in Moldova that is a French-style castle with wine cellars established in 1827. This winery is famous all over the world for its legendary wines “Rosu de Purcari” and “Negru de Purcari” that is true masterpiece which Queen Elizabeth II preferred to savour. Whilst there you’ll visit the production, grape processing and the wine storage areas, including bottle line. Walk into the cellars where the wine is matured in oak barrels and bottles, including the Purcari wine collection. Return to Chisinau for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: End of the tour

After breakfast, free time for doing shopping and buying souvenirs . Transfer to airport for flight back home.
